- Profile: Photographing the natural beauty of Australia’s west is a lifelong passion held by Alex, his work has been published in books, magazines, diaries, calendars and posters. In 1989 he formed Stormlight Publishing specialising in high quality postcards of Western Australian landscapes. His commitment to making beautiful images and reproducing them in high quality publications has become a hallmark of Alex Bond’s work, receiving numerous State and National awards for recognition of their excellence in print. Alex’s photographic trips lead him to many remote areas within Western Australia, sometimes hiking and camping over several days, taking food, water, camera gear and tent in his backpack to reach various locations. He prefers to use conventional film and a large format wooden field camera for his work because it yields exceptional image quality and control. Fine art prints are available to order, either framed or unframed and can be sent interstate or internationally. The Alex Bond Gallery is located within the Pemberton Wine Centre, Old Vasse Rd, Pemberton and is open daily from 10.00am to 5.00pm (except Good Friday, Christmas and Boxing Day).
