  • Profile: Since the birth of Bees Knees, a large customer base has been created internationally. Items can be specially bought to suit any requirements and kits created for any size quilt, ranging from Baby Play Quilts to King Size. Kids brights are also another specialty as they are fun to make and the little recipients are very happy to receive them with so much to look at and love. Many have become 'cuddle blankets' which is heart warming to any Mum. Bees Knees offers a wide range of cotton patchwork and quilting fabrics including Japanese themes, butterfly fabrics, brights for boys and fairy prints for girls. We also provide quilt patterns and kits and blocks, oriental silk brocade, handbags made to order and many others. Bees Knees Creative Enterprises was founded in 2002. Having an art background, Renee McLean has always strived to find something original to do whilst working from home and is dedicated to providing a wonderful environment for her children, with mum home to care for them. The business idea for Japanese Quilts came about by a request from her sister to make a quilt using the Japanese Themed fabrics. Research made it very clear Japanese themed fabrics were scarce as there wasn't a large choice in Australia and materials were then carefully sourced from overseas to provide fabrics during the Quilt's construction. The fabrics seen here on Bees Knees are easy to fall in love with as they have such a high quality and abundance of variety.
