  • Profile: An outstanding collection of really interesting eyewear.  Even the most conservative frames are interesting.  As most famous brands have become a bit 'ho-hum' mainstream,  we're into new, original, and exciting designs  and some of the best include Dita, Betsy Johnson,  Anne et Valentin, Daniel Benner, JF Rey and Bozz.  There's some really nice stuff from Australian designers  Roger Henley and Paul Taylor, and we're most renowned for the really funky, bold and colourful designs of Michelle Guthrie,  who is also the founder and owner of I Spex.  Michelle's designs are exclusive to our store and we custom make them in colours to suit individual clients. We don't have sales staff because 'making a sale' is not our priority.  We have style consultants who are genuinely interested in matching up your face with one of our frames. We want special faces for our frames  as much as you want a special frame for your face.  In this way, clients become our advertisements because they look so special in our glasses.  We won't sell boring frames and we always find something for everyone..even the most conservative.  Needless to say, our clients are quite interesting individuals. Eyetesting can be arranged in-house 3 days a week. It's usually bulk-billed to Medicare and the Optometrist is 'switched on' and easy to communicate with. We're closed Sundays and Monday and open Tuesday to Friday 10am - 6pm and Saturday 10am - 3pm.   We love to spend relaxed time with our clients but it can get very busy sometimes. It's a good idea to arrange a one-on-one appointment with one of our consultants at an off peak time.  The environment is pretty layback; We play good music, serve good coffee and enjoy a bit of fun - and it's all free.   If however, you want to be left alone -just say the word.  We won't hassle you.  Free street parking all day on our side of Johnston St, between Wellington and Smith Streeets, or meter parking directly across the road anytime before the 4pm clearway.
