Gathering together a group of talented staff, Dr Chan secured exclusive distributorship to distribute Dallab products for the Australian market from Multilink Mobile (M) Sdn. Bhd and Dallab INC Sdn. Bhd. Mercurii Communications launched the Dallab DP900 Pocket PC Phone in Australia at the CeBIT International I. T. Exhibition in Sydney May 2005. A huge triumph, the DP900 generated tremendous interest and enthusiasm from the public as well as numerous resellers and retailers.The company continues to seek to build new strategic alliances, promote new devices and develop new applications for the mobile communications industry.THE FOUNDERDr. Tim Chan is the founder and CEO of Mercurii Communications. Dr. Chan graduated from the Victoria University of Wellington with a Bachelor of Science before going on to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1996. After a few years in the Australian public hospital system, he went in to the private sector and opened the Edens Landing Medical Centre which now employs several doctors, nursing and ancillary staff. The Centre is extremely successful and services several hundred patients every week.Dr. Chan then decided to shift his attention to the telecommunications industry and founded Mercurii Communications. He was able to secure an exclusive distributorship from Multilink Mobile (M) Sdn. Bhd and Dallab INC Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian company specialising in mobile computing devices, Bluetooth accessories, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) solutions and GPS tracking devices. He has also been making alliances with several companies to produce new mobile communication applications.
